closed-loop system; even if other 911 emergency communications networks fail to provide
data transfer for 911 emergency services in a disaster.
Operates in any of three modes - In normal operations, these modems can
operate with a wireline service or they can operate in an emergency wireless environment,
either with analog or digital systems, automatically switching systems, as emergencies or
y2k disasters arise.
Basic units will provide V.42 bis data compression and 33.6 Kbps high speed wireline
